About: Nephrology Associates of Central Florida (NACFLA) is a large physician-owned, single specialty
group formed in the 1970s. The practice has established market position with over 40 years of providing
high quality healthcare to Central Florida and surrounding communities.
Nephrology Associates of Central Florida is a growing, independent Nephrology practice that is seeking
an energetic nephrologist to join a well-established, successful, respected practice. The practice includes
HD, PD, HHD, Interventional Nephrology in two practice owned VACs, and General Nephrology in office,
multiple acute care hospitals, and multiple dialysis centers. Our new nephrologists will step into a
growing practice with patients already waiting to see you. You will not have the added pressure of
building your own practice. Interested candidates should be knowledgeable in all aspects of nephrology,
have a strong work ethic, and a team approach to quality care for our patients. Candidates must be
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology. Recent
graduates welcome.
Location: This position is for a General Nephrologist to join our group to fulfill the community care
needs primarily in Orlando, Florida.
Schedule: In general, the work scheduled will be a mixture of office clinics, hospital based services
(inpatient rounding, consult coverage, and in hospital dialysis program development/oversight), and
dialysis responsibilities (unit rounds and care conferences).
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary role of a nephrologist in this practice is delivery of direct nephrology medical management
to patients in the hospital, at dialysis, and in the office settings. It will include, but is not limited to the
following:
-Acute, sub-acute, out-patient, and chronic patient consultations with follow up and ongoing
comprehensive medical management.
- Emergency coverage of nephrology medical management issues including 24/7 availability to
acute care facilities on a rotational basis.
-Effective updates through communication and education of referring providers, patients, and
family members as appropriate, of medical management plan, clinical progress, and prognosis.
-Participate in the professional development through education and mentorship of ancillary staff
and other allied professionals.
-Coordinate and/or participate in integrated specialty and subspecialty consultations and
interdisciplinary care conferences as needed.
-Participate in strategic planning, oversight, and quality improvement initiatives of multiple
facilities and a variety of programs as directed by the company.
Requirements:
-Board Certified/Board Eligible in Nephrology
-Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Florida
-Active and unrestricted DEA & CSR
