This position is located in Northern New Jersey, Wayne area www.gsunj.com Summary of Duties: Position responsible for overseeing and providing leadership to medical practice. Essential Functions: - Diagnose and treat disease and disorders of the urinary tract and reproductive organs.
- Depending on specialty, may treat disorders including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular cancer, male infertility, kidney stones, and incontinence, as well as neurological disorders that affect the urinary or reproductive system of patients, such as Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis.
- Provide care to inpatient, outpatient and surgical patients.
- Examines patient using x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscope, and other equipment to aid in determining nature and extent of disorder or injury.
- Treats patients and performs office procedures including prostate biopsies (ultrasound guided), video cystoscopy, flow rate, urodynamics, stent removals, bladder scans, laparoscopic, Robotics, stone treatment
- Works closely with nephrologists, oncologists, and endocrinologists as needed.
- Participates in sub-specialty as required including pediatrics, infertility, erectile dysfunction, impotence etc
- Performs surgery as needed.
- Prescribes medications as needed and administers urinary antiseptics to combat infection.
- Mentors the staff, including but not limited to Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Ultrasound Techs.
- Collaborates with all levels of management.
- Participates in Executive Committee meetings, Journal Club, and other required meetings.
- Supports all human resources initiatives, and provides an optimal learning environment for all staff.
- Promotes safety and privacy in the workplace including following guidelines of HIPAA, Hi-tech, and OSHA compliance.
