Fort Worth Renal Group is seeking an Assistant Practice Administrator to join an established nephrology practice full time in Fort Worth, TX. The Assistant Practice Administrator provides administrative leadership and support to the practice across all clinic locations and surgery center alongside the Chief Administrative Officer.
The position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the practice. They actively participate in budgeting and business decisions related to human resources and compliance, accounting and finance, marketing, and revenue cycle management in conjunction with senior leadership. The Assistant Practice Administrator ensures quality services are provided according to established policies and procedures and regulatory governing bodies by working in collaboration with practice physicians. The Assistant Practice Administrator ensures best practices are achieved and strategic goals are met.
The position serves as a consultant to management of human resource - related issues, acts as an employee champion and change agent, assesses, and anticipates HR and Operation related needs. The Assistant Practice Administrator maintains an effective level of business literacy about the practice's financial position, operational needs, its culture, and its competition in preparation for assuming the Chief Administrative Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of the clinic, including patient scheduling, check-in/check-out, supervise and communicate insurance verification, and physician and staff communications
Team Management: Lead and supervise administrative staff, including receptionists, medical assistants, and all other clinic personnel
Assist with Financial Management: Actively participate in monitoring and managing clinic finances, including adhering to budget, expense tracking and reporting, and revenue cycle management of charge input
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the clinic's compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant laws
Patient Experience: Implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and improve the overall patient experience
Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, clinicians, and other departments to develop and maintain effective communications and efficient workflows
Technology Implementation: Evaluate and corroborate with team members to implement new cost-effective technologies to streamline clinic operations and improve efficiencies. Actively utilizes and is a resource for staff, assists in trouble shooting day to day technology issues
Reporting: Generate regular reports on clinic performance, operational and financial metrics, and operational efficiency while analyzing data for process and workflow improvement for colleagues and senior management
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives to support the clinic's growth and success
Qualifications:
Licensed RN or LVN in Texas in Texas preferred
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field (Master's degree or equivalent preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in managing high-volume clinics or medical practices. (Prior knowledge of Nephrology strongly preferred)
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in healthcare billing, coding, and insurance processes
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software. (Acumen/EPIC preferred)
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
