Pediatric Anesthesiologist

RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Anesthesiologists for full-time employment opportunities with call required at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.

We are pleased to offer a very competitive compensation package for full-time general anesthesiologists: 8 weeks of PTO, 401(k) retirement, malpractice, life and disability insurance and post-call day off as an employee of the RWJ Barnabas Health Medical Group.

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is a 597-bed academic medical center with a robust cardiac program, a Kidney and Pancreas transplant program, one of the busiest Labor and Delivery units in the state and the only certified Burn Center in the state.

Successful candidates must be:

• ABA board-certified or board-eligible for new graduates
• Completed Anesthesiology residency
• Specialized training in anesthesia care of infants and children
• Willing to participate in required on-call schedules
• NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ (candidates with a NJ license will be preferred at this time)

Newly graduating residents and fellows are encouraged to apply to this role. Please note that current trainees can earn up to $50,000 with the Resident/Fellowship stipend program if they choose to join RWJBH during the final year of training!

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $575,000 to $650,000 per year.

The majority of patients have video-assisted thoracoscopic, laparoscopic or robotic surgeries to minimize blood loss and reduce postoperative pain, resulting in shorter hospital stays and a faster recovery to daily activities. The Breast Center at the Ambulatory Care Center -- one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive breast diagnostic centers -- performs close to 50,000 procedures annually with coordinated care and patient navigation to the medical and surgical expertise and services available through CBMC. The Breast Center now has a dedicated MRI enhancing the continuum of care for patients.

CBMC is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American Medical Association Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The medical center is a major teaching affiliate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. The medical staff representing 100 medical and surgical specialty and subspecialty services, shares medical expertise with medical students, residents and fellows.
