Hospitalist (AGACNP) - Inpatient Consultant
Benefis Health System has a new opportunity for a nurse practitioner consulting hospitalist role at our West Campus for medical needs on our Injury Rehabilitation and Psychiatry Units in Great Falls, Montana. Position Details
- Independent AGACNP opportunity - this role will have 2 Nurse Practitioners working 7on/7off opposite of each other, from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
- The rehab unit is a 20-bed acute rehab with an average census of 12
- Rehab staff of over 100 employees including: 1 brain injury fellowship trained physiatrist/medical director, a unit-based rehab APP to help with consults, rounding and daily patient needs, a rehab psychologist, med/surg trained acute nursing staff and a critical care nurse on call 24/7 in addition to 16 therapists.
- Interdisciplinary team conferences take place 3x a week and are held over different shifts to involve all staff, in addition to a shared governance model involving all team members.
- Primary diagnoses: TBI, NTBI, TSCI, NTSCI, neuro condition, LE fracture, LE replacement, other ortho, LE amputation, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiac/pulmonary DEB, MMT w/out TBI or SCI, MMT w/ TBI or SCI, and guillain barre
- Medical Consultations to manage chronic medical conditions and acute medical illnesses, assist with determining outpatient medical needs and follow-up, and to provide support for medical emergencies when on duty.

- Psychiatry staff of 1 inpatient psychiatrist, psychiatric nursing and
- Medical Consultations to manage chronic medical conditions and acute medical illnesses, assist with determining outpatient medical needs and follow-up, and to provide support for medical emergencies when on duty.
- Dedicated nocturnist physician and APP on main campus who will handle any medical issues that arise outside of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm shift.
- Great access to specialists with over 380 providers on our medical staff representing 40 specialties, including: Neurosurgery, CVT Surgery, Interventional and General Cardiology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Inpatient Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, and more!
