Director of Operations (Healthcare) – Transformational Leadership Role
Carolina Kidney Care – Fayetteville, NC
Carolina Kidney Care, a physician-led nephrology practice with 10 physicians and 12 nurse practitioners, is seeking a high-performing Director of Operations to lead operational excellence and strategic growth.
We operate across 16 dialysis units (11 medical directorships) and two outpatient offices, with plans to expand into infusion services, clinical research, laboratory services, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee operations across clinical and administrative functions
Optimize workflows, staffing models, and overall efficiency
Strengthen revenue cycle performance and operational metrics
Implement technology and data-driven decision-making
Partner with physician leadership to execute growth initiatives
Help develop and operationalize strategic joint ventures with dialysis partners
Support the launch and build-out of new service lines, including clinical research, laboratory services, and infusion services
Qualifications
5+ years of healthcare operations leadership (multi-site experience preferred)
Strong understanding of revenue cycle, staffing, and practice operations
Proven ability to improve efficiency and drive performance
Experience leading teams and implementing change
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
MBA, MHA, or other relevant advanced degree preferred
